Have fun throwing axes in beautiful rural locations. 

Lightweight axes 

At Fat Squirrel Outdoor our throwing axes are lightweight making them easy for most people to throw.  

Coached sessions 

An instructor stays with you for the whole session, helping you get the best throws and giving you challenges to achieve. We can't guarantee you will hit the target every time but we will coach you to give you the best chance. 

Satisfying experience   

Being outdoors its a great tension reliever that is uniquely mediative and exciting at the same time. 

Challenges 

For small groups our instructors will set individual challenges to achieve. For groups we host a fun elimination game to reveal a champion thrower. Practise throws are included - so that everyone has a fair chance of winning. 

Extend your woodland visit 

Stay longer in the wood to try some bushcraft fire lighting, enjoy some of our hot dogs made with award winning real sausages or even cook on your own campfire meal.    

• 1 hour of axe throwing 
• Whole session hosted by an experienced Fat Squirrel Outdoor instructor 
• Throwers must be aged 8 and over 
• Under 18s must be accompanied by a paying adult 
• Under 3’s are free
• No open footwear - sturdy boots are best
• Layer up and bring waterproofs 
• Dogs welcome
