Have fun throwing axes in beautiful rural locations. Throwing outdoors has an added sense of adventure with a natural soundtrack, and the sound of the axes hitting the targets is immensely satisfying.
Fully hosted session
A Fat Squirrel Outdoor team member will host your whole session. Everyone will have practise throws before playing a series of games and challenges. The host will keep everyone involved and having fun. Our axes are lightweight making them easy for most people to throw.
Extend your woodland visit
To stay with us longer in the woods and to enjoy a real sausages hot dog cooked on a campfire book our axe throwing and campfire experience.
Included in this experience
- 1 hour of axe throwing (sessions for larger groups will last longer)
- Whole session hosted by an experienced Fat Squirrel Outdoor instructor
- Throwers must be aged 8 and over
- Under 18s must be accompanied by a paying adult
- Under 3’s are free
- No open footwear - sturdy boots are best
- Layer up and bring waterproofs
- Dogs welcome
Bring with you
- Waterproof jackets
- Hats and gloves
- Layer up your clothing - you may get muddy
- Torches for evening sessions - we have LED spotlights for night time throwing
- Sturdy boots or wellies are best (no sandals for axe throwing)
- Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome
