Asthall Manor in the walled garden

Sustainable adventures in a timeless location

Sustainability is at the heart of everything at Asthall Manor

Sustainability is at the heart of Asthall Manor and it matches core values held at Fat Squirrel Outdoor. Reducing, reusing and recycling are key principles for the way in which we operate and in the walled garden you will find our rustic fire pit tables, made from old scaffold boards. The campfire log seating is from a fallen walnut tree, that was sadly storm damaged and much loved by manor owner Rosie Pearson. Now with new purpose.

Find us in the walled garden at Asthall Manor

The walled garden is nestled in the beautiful village of Asthall, a stones throw from Clarkson's Farmer's Dog pub, it's the perfect location to sample rural Oxfordshire life.

Axe throwing in the meadow

Get outdoors and have some fun throwing axes

Axe throwing is always fun but when you throw outdoors it also feels mindful, especially in a beautiful setting like the Asthall Manor meadow.

Private to your group

Our experienced hosts coach your private session, making it fun for everyone who takes part. After practise throws, we host a series of challenges that can be as competitive or relaxed as you like.

Campfire conversations in the walled garden

Escape your desk, get outdoors and clear your mind

Getting outdoors and closer to nature restores the mind, but the pressure of work can make it feel hard to do that. The solution - an outdoor networking event. It's work, but not as we know it.

Outdoor networking around a campfire

This is outdoor networking around a campfire, without the formalities of other networking sessions. We don't pitch, there's no stand up introductions, instead it is an opportunity to unplug and escape from your desk for a couple of hours to meet new and interesting people.

Meet new people in an informal way

Come and enjoy real conversation about your work with interesting people. You can learn more here - or book and come find out. Tickets include drinks and a sweet treat.

Want to stay longer after your axe throwing, then stay around the campfire and enjoy a fire cooked meal. Please note that Asthall Manor is a vegetarian location so all hot dogs at Asthall will be vegan served with our own Squirrel Sauce - which is a delicious smoked carrot ketchup.
