Give your child an unforgettable day packed with fun, learning, and new friendships at Fat Squirrel Outdoor’s Fire and Feast Camp.
Our camp runs from 9:30am to 2:30pm and offers the perfect opportunity for kids to spend the day outdoors, engaging in exciting and educational activities. Children will get to try their hand at throwing axes (safely supervised), learn essential bushcraft skills like starting a fire, and enjoy cooking tasty food over the campfire.
There’s also time for exploring, building shelters, and playing fun outdoor games that will keep them active and entertained.
For those moments when they need a bit of downtime, we have tree hammocks where they can relax and watch the leaves sway above, giving them a peaceful break from the fast-paced world.
Let your child experience a day in the woods that balances adventure, learning, and relaxation—all in a safe, nurturing environment. Sign them up for a day they’ll always remember.

Supported by Active Impact
NEW for summer 2025 we are hosting a Fire and Feast camp at our Notgrove in Gloucestershire for young people aged between 8-12 from HAF eligible families.
Fire and Feast as part of Oxfordshire HAF is for eligible young people aged between 8-12. This summer camp will hosted at the Abingdon and Witney College - Common Leys Farm.
Fire and Feast camp is an engaging outdoor experience day for young people that includes bushcraft, crafting and outdoor cooking. This is a full day of outdoor adventure.
Cooking on campfires is a great way to help young people understand healthy eating and reduce food anxiety. Cooking from scratch, with raw ingredients, in an unusual outdoor environment helps young people try foods and ingredients they may otherwise refuse. By including an element of choice, we find that no one goes hungry, and we cater for most food allergies and intolerances.
Bushcraft and crafting activities increase manual dexterity while nurturing a positive attitude towards trial and error that build confidence and resilience in their own abilities.
Fire and feast is perfect for schools, youth groups, Scouts and Guides
Discounts available for these groups of young people
