Spend some quality relaxing time together in the woods 

This activity packed day has something for everyone to enjoy. Unleash your wild side throwing axes, master the art of fire lighting, build a den or shoot some soft arrows. Or, you could just chill out in our tree hammocks for some quiet time!

Firelighting is perfect for all ages to enjoy together  

Fire lighting is an activity all ages can get stuck into and enjoy together. We don't like using matches at Fat Squirrel Outdoor - we will show you how to light your fire with a flint and steel. Taking a bushcraft style fire from sparks to roaring flames is a hugely rewarding process that all ages can get involved with.  

Hitting the target

Axe throwing is a lot of fun for adults and older children. Our rural targets look out over the Cotswold countryside. For younger guests we have soft archery - so everyone can improve their target practise!

Time to relax and unwind

There will be time to unwind as well - visit our hammock zone and stare at the leaves. Hot chocolate and s'mores are included because no campfire experience is complete without toasting some marshmallow.        

Bushcraft everyone will enjoy 

This introduction to bushcraft skills, is designed for all generations to enjoy together. The Fat Squirrel Outdoor team will be your trusted guides throughout, offering hands-on instruction for fire lighting, coaching you in the fine art of axe throwing, with time for bug hunts and den building and relaxing around your campfire. 

• 2-3 hour experience 
• Axe throwing
• Soft archery (alternative to axe throwing for younger guests)
• Bushcraft fire lighting 
• Den building or knot tying 
• Bug hunt (for younger children)
• Under 18s must be accompanied by a paying adult 
• Under 3’s are free
• No open footwear - sturdy boots are best
• Layer up and bring waterproofs 
• Dogs welcome
