Most behind the scenes jobs at Fat Squirrel Outdoor are quite good fun, if a bit strenuous. Jobs like replacing ropework, fixing log sheds, chopping wood and trees, building structures.

If you want to regularly volunteer we can donate your salary to our community fund to help us offer reduced rates for community groups visiting Fat Squirrel Outdoor.

Join the lively Fat Squirrel Outdoor team for an active day in the woodland
We have a bunch of jobs that need doing - but we know from experience that working in the wood for the day can help you leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed. Despite it being April 1st we promise we aren't acting the fool!
Drinks, snacks, cake and a hot dog lunch around the campfire will be provided in return for help with these projects.
- Making new axe targets
- Constructing a fence around the rifle range
- Building a new and bigger log store
- Replacing ropes on our shelters
- General clearing and maintenance
Tea and coffee makers also welcome!
9am start - 4pm finish
